Pretty much, it all comes down to lavender and humidity.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had issues falling and staying asleep. It usually takes me quite a bit to fall asleep, and even then, I wake up at least once in the middle of the night for various reasons. While there’s tons of advice out there on how t get a sound night of good rest, I’ve picked up my own tricks along the way that have really helped me get better quality sleep.
Here are three products that have really helped me out:
Asutra Premium Aromatherapy Mist Lavender Chamomile, $14.95 on Amazon
I already knew lavender has a relaxing effect on the mind and body, and that many people use it in some way to help them sleep. But what I really wanted to try was a pillow mist, that I could spray on my pillow to help me fall asleep faster. And I needed a spray that was all-natural, wouldn’t hurt my cat or my face, and wouldn’t stain my pillow or sheets. I bought this all-natural mist off Amazon and it has been just amazing. Not only does it smell soothing, but you can spray this stuff anywhere, even on yourself! I’ve started spraying it through the whole house and the instant effect it has is almost magical.
Coolmist Humidifier, $21 at Walmart
One day, after my partner and I decided we’d had enough of dry skin, we made a trip to Walmart to buy a cheap but effective humidifier. We got the last one on the shelf and boy, since then we’ve realized how truly blessed we were that day. I can’t believe we waited this long to get one. We just set ours up in the bedroom a few inches away from the wall, and it’s been great. Not only is my skin noticeably less dry, but I breathe easier at night and feel less stuffy in general.
Bath & Body Works Lavender Bath, $16.50
If you didn’t know already, a hot bath before bed can actually help you sleep. Add in lavender to the equation, and the results are pretty great. Bath and Body Works’ bath liquids really bubble up in the bath and smell great, of course. Just be careful not to use too much, because a little bit goes a long way here.
All opinions on these products are my own. I did not receive any support from these brands in promoting their products.
