Top o’ the afternoon, dear readers!
I saw this post from Trendy Simple Life and it looked like a ton of fun, so here I am!
And if you’re looking for more book talks and reviews, check out my new series “Reading Nook Reviews,” where I discuss a few books I’ve read recently.
My answers are below:
Author you’ve read the most books from:
Hah, Kresley Cole. She’s a paranormal romance writer, and judge me if you will, but her books are downright addictive.
Best Sequel Ever:
Honestly, I’m not sure. All I can think of right now are really bad sequels.
The City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty. Really liking it so far.
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Depends, usually tea or straight up water. Wine, if it’s been a rough day.
E-reader or Physical Book?
I used to hate on people who used e-readers but now, I’m one of them. I still prefer actual paper books but sometimes I’ll read on kindle if I gotta have a book right away.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
I can’t say an exact character but he would have been nerdy AF.
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
The Last Mrs. Parrish. There was a lot of hype so I wasn’t sure if I should climb aboard but I’m glad I did.
Hidden Gem Book:
Memoirs of a Geisha. It’s a shame that people see the movie but don’t really read the book. It’s such a beautiful story.
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
When I was younger, my dad bought me a huge shelf for all my books. I called it my little library and I had that dang shelf until I graduated college. I actually really regret selling it off.
A New Model by Ashley Graham. Surprisingly good.
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Okay, I’m not too picky, but I really hate self-help books on dieting. They’re just trash to me.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
I gave War and Peace a go in high school, kept the book for years, and then finally realized that I didn’t want to actually read it.
Major book hangover because of:
Shadow Wings by Raye Wagner and Kelly Sr. Clare, The final book comes out June 30th.
Number of Bookcases You Own:
Just the one (sobbing now).
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Jane Eyre. At one point, I had three copies of the sucker, including an illustrated version.
Preferred Place To Read:
My armchair. Or rather, Luke’s armchair but I steal it for reading.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“I would always rather be happy than dignified.” Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre
Why oh why did I waste precious time in high school reading the Twilight series? There’s so much better out there.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (all books are out in series):
The ‘An Ember in the Ashes’ series! I’m like number 30 in line for the third book at the library, so I’ve got awhile to wait.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning, The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas.
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Trashy paranormal romances.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
The Wicked King by Holly Black!! Only have to wait a year for it 🙁
Worst Bookish Habit:
I dog-ear my own personal books sometimes. I’ve been publically shamed for it.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I still haven’t read it.
Your latest book purchase:
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah Maas
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne
