Books I’ll Probably Never Read Book Tag

Today was a really icy, stay-at-home kinda day so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to post a book tag I’ve been wanting to do for a bit. Thanks to Destiny at Howling Libraries for sharing her tag; here is where the tag started originally.

By the way and before I get started, I just have to say I finished King of Scars today and holy cow, what a wild ride. I cannot wait for the next installation. I’m also even further convinced that Nikolai is the bee’s knees. If he and Zoya don’t end up with each other, Leigh Bardugo can write me in instead.

A really hyped book you’re not interested in reading

GUEST_cac34ba1-90cf-4b4b-a48d-6075194e886fWar Storm. I didn’t think The Red Queen was bad per se but it just didn’t draw me in. Therefore, I couldn’t care less about what happens in War Storm.

A series you won’t start/won’t be finishing

81GvNdZqETLPretty much anything by Cassandra Clare. I made the mistake of starting with the Infernal Devices series (which was fine, except now I’m so done with stupid, pointless love triangles,) when I really should have started with the Mortal Instruments. So then I read City of Bones and the *kinda* big reveal at the end just lost me. I looked up how that series ends and yes, I know now that the big reveal isn’t what it seems, but it’s just the idea that Clare put that weird business in there. No, thank you.

A classic you’re not interested in

41beWU7rn8L._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_Lolita. I’m all for reading books that take you out of your comfort zone but maybe I don’t need to read about extremely creepy, predatory relationships.

A genre you never read

I just don’t like mystery. I also veer hard from anything with overt religious undertones, or overtones in the case of anything by Joel Osteen.

A book on your shelves you’ll probably never actually read

downloadI seriously do think I’m going to read all by TBR books at home, but I have a copy of Mansfield Park at work that I just don’t ever think I’ll get to. Which stinks because I love Jane Austen.

Who I’m tagging:

You! I’m not tagging anybody in particular but if you’d like to do this tag too, go for it!

Sounds like a great tag. The problem with me is I’m not really sure what books I would put for each of these.

It took me awhile to think of a few for these! Maybe they’ll come to you 🙂

What a fun tag. It honestly making me want to look at my own shelf and wonder what books would fit into each category.
