Series I Want to Reread (and Happy Autumn!)

tenor

Firstly, happy autumn everybody! Autumn is my favorite season and I’ve had my house decorated since late August so I am glad the season is finally upon us.

While there are so many new books out there calling my name, I often find myself pulling a few of my favorite books from the shelf and leafing through them for the umpteenth time. Some books are just meant to be enjoyed more than once!

Here are 5 series I want to go back and re-read or finish. Ironically enough, all of these series are perfect reads for fall, as they all include magic and have some spooky elements!

Harry Potter

I, admittedly, haven’t read the entire series. When I was younger, I think I did the first two, and then when I was older read the last two. So I’ve got a big hole in the middle to fill anyway, but I really just want to experience the magic again.

Grishaverse original trilogy

Shadow-and-Bone-Trilogy-Leigh-Bardugo

Another one that I didn’t completely finish, as I only read the first book and half of the second before I petered out. However, I loved the SoC duology and King of Scars, so I’m kind of curious about going back to get more info on what happens with Alina and the Darkling. I think that would give me a lot of clarity going forward.

Fever series by Karen Marie Moning

This series is pretty chunky so this would be a HP-like undertaking, but it’s one of my favorite series of all time. There are two arcs in KMM’s world: Mac’s and Dani’s. I’ve read both and I much prefer Mac’s arc. (FYI, Mac’s arc consists of the books above, plus 2 more books, Feverborn and Feversong.) Dani’s arc consists of Iced, Burned and High Voltage.

I really loved this series, but the third book got kind of silly and lost me near the end. Part of me wants to go back and just read the first two books, which were really magical. If you like fantasy, dragons, and romance, this lesser-known series is definitely worth a read.

An Ember in the Ashes

Another trilogy that I really loved, but then petered out on. The first book was so great but the end of the second book was disappointing to me and honestly, after that, I couldn’t get into the third book that much. But I am curious to know how it all ends for the characters. I even think I still have the third book on my Kindle.

Anyway, happy reading this season and let me know below what books you’re reading this fall!
