Saturday Status: Drowning in Books

It’s a week before the holidays and I am drowning in books.

I won’t complain too much because death by drowning in books isn’t a terrible way to go, but I am a bit concerned for my TBR and my ability to finish a few ARCs by deadline. I’ve currently got about 6 approved ARCs waiting to be read. I’m halfway through Scavenge the Stars, and nowhere near touching any of the others…which is a bit worrying since a few are set to be published in January, eek! Trying to sort out your ARC TBR by deadline is hard, guys.

Here are a few books that are on my ARC TBR, as well as a few that are distracting me from my TBR!

ARCS on my To-Read List:

  • ARC Review: Ashlords (Jan 21)
  • ARC Review: All the Stars and Teeth (Feb 4)
  • ARC Review: Scavenge the Stars (Jan 7)
  • ARC Review: Demon Bound (Jan 6)
  • ARC Review: Of Silver and Shadow (May 26)
  • ARC Review: How Not to Be a Hot Mess (April 21)

Books/Series Distracting Me From My ARCS:

Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning

Picture from The Saucy Wenches Book Club (lol)

KMM is one of my favorite authors and while in Kansas City the other weekend, I wandered into a half-price bookshop and lo and behold, they had her entire Fever series on the shelf, with a limited edition cover for my favorite book in the series, Shadowfever. I’ve never swooped up a pile of books so fast, and for the last week, I’ve been making my way through them again and reliving the story.

Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while now, and finally picked it up from the library today. It’s calling my name so I’ll probably dig into it next.

Diamond and Dawn by Lyra Selene

I bought the first book, Amber and Dusk, when it first came out so while I’m excited to read this one, I might put it on the back-burner until I refresh my memory with what happened in the first book.
